We also believe that health is not an obligation, a sign of self-worth, or entirely within our control.
Our approach is based in Body Trust®, Intuitive Eating, and Health at Every Size® practices because they are evidence-based and in alignment with our ethical standards of care.
We believe that the deepest forms of healing appear within trusted therapeutic relationships, and we strive to create space to build trust within ourselves.
We understand that our approach may be quite different and even conflict with the nutrition and health information you have learned in the past. We understand and trust that you can make informed decisions that are right for you.
We are in-network with several major insurance companies. If we are not in-network with your particular insurance plan, we can provide you with a monthly statement that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Many insurance plans accept out-of-network providers and will reimburse a portion of nutrition counseling services.

Will you collaborate with my doctor, therapist, etc.?
Yes - with your permission, we will work with your clinical team (therapist, psychiatrist, medical doctor, etc) and support people as appropriate for your needs and care plan. This helps us ensure you’re getting well-rounded, comprehensive care that’s truly supportive for you.
Do you take insurance?
Yes! We are in network with several insurance companies. If we’re out of network with your insurance, we can give you a monthly statement that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. You can learn more about our rates & insurance policies here.
Where are you located/where do I go for sessions?
Attune Nutrition exclusively offers telehealth/virtual nutrition services, so you only have to go as far as your couch or favorite comfy spot. Much of our dietitian team is based in Seattle, WA - but we can see residents of other states on a case-by-case basis depending on our team’s availability & licensure in your area. Reach out for more information about whether we’re able to serve your geographic area!
What is your nutrition philosophy?
We are committed to practicing nutrition counseling from a place that is trauma-informed, anti-racist, and in alignment with Body Trust®, Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size® principles. You can learn more about our values here.
How often will I see my dietitian?
We typically see clients weekly when they are first starting their recovery journey or stepping down from a treatment center. Your dietitian will give recommendations on the frequency of sessions based on your nutrition assessment and treatment goals.
Do you work with children/adolescents?
We work with teens ages 13 and up using a modified Family-Based Treatment (FBT) approach. This is the leading form of eating disorder care for adolescents and views the family as experts on the child and their participation is essential in our work together.
Will you give me a diet or meal plan to follow?
You probably know a lot about nutrition already! We believe that when we are given external instructions on how to eat, we lose the connection with ourselves and our bodies.
Our role as your non-diet dietitian is not to give you a new set of rules to follow, but guidance and tools around food so that you feel more empowered to make decisions that are right for your healing.
Eating is a very nuanced and complex behavior. Long-term and sustainable behavior changes require internal connection that is often disrupted by our current diet culture. We do not prescribe weight loss diets- we are here to help you build trust with your body.
How do I know if I’m ready for this kind of work?
You are probably ready if you feel you want to make a change in your relationship with food and your body; even though you don't know what that looks like yet.
We believe you are the expert on you and that you will decide what is right for your healing.
Reach out to our team with any questions you have + we’ll be happy to share how we can support you.
